Set a guard over my mouth, O Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips.


To watch over mouth and tongue is to keep out of trouble.


“He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”

Seek good and not evil, that you may live, and so the Lord, the God of hosts, will be with you, just as you have said.
