They surrounded me like bees; they blazed like a fire of thorns; in the name of the Lord I cut them off!


Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the Lord?


The cords of death encompassed me; the torrents of perdition assailed me;


For dogs are all around me; a company of evildoers encircles me; they bound my hands and feet.


Rise up, O Lord! Deliver me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.


Have they no knowledge, those evildoers, who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon God?


When my enemies turned back, they stumbled and perished before you.


And many among them shall stumble; they shall fall and be broken; they shall be snared and taken.”
