So she named the Lord who spoke to her, “You are El-roi,” for she said, “Have I really seen God and remained alive after seeing him?”


But I know your sitting and your going out and your coming in and your raging against me.


Then one of his officers said, “No one, my lord king. It is Elisha, the prophet in Israel, who tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedchamber.”


Because of you we are being killed all day long and accounted as sheep for the slaughter.


You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your record?


The Lord knows our thoughts, that they are but an empty breath.


The eyes of the Lord are in every place, keeping watch on the evil and the good.


“I know your rising up and your sitting down, your going out and coming in and your raging against me.


Then the spirit of the Lord fell upon me, and he said to me, “Say, Thus says the Lord: This is what you think, O house of Israel; I know the things that come into your mind.


Thus says the Lord God: Are you he of whom I spoke in former days by my servants the prophets of Israel, who in those days prophesied for years that I would bring you against them?


For whoever has despised the day of small things shall rejoice and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel. “These seven are the eyes of the Lord that range through the whole earth.”


But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?


But Jesus, aware of their inner thoughts, took a little child and put it by his side


Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive commendation from God.


And when many terrible troubles come upon them, this song will confront them as a witness because it will not be lost from the mouths of their descendants. For I know what they are inclined to do even now, before I have brought them into the land that I promised them on oath.”
