O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give success to your servant today, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man!” At the time, I was cupbearer to the king.


let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer of your servant that I now pray before you day and night for your servants, the Israelites, confessing the sins of the Israelites, which we have sinned against you. Both I and my family have sinned.

Let their eyes be darkened so that they cannot see, and make their loins tremble continually.


For he delivers the needy when they call, the poor and those who have no helper.


For the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever.


Then the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”


who confirms the word of his servant and fulfills the prediction of his messengers; who says of Jerusalem, “It shall be inhabited,” and of the cities of Judah, “They shall be rebuilt, and I will raise up their ruins”;


The days are surely coming, says the Lord, when the city shall be rebuilt for the Lord from the tower of Hananel to the Corner Gate.


Indeed, the Lord will vindicate his people, have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, neither bond nor free remaining.


From there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find him if you search after him with all your heart and soul.
