How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!


Truly I love your commandments more than gold, more than fine gold.


The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver pieces.


More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.


How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.


There is gold and abundance of costly stones, but the lips informed by knowledge are a precious jewel.


A woman of strength who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.


Wisdom is as good as an inheritance, an advantage to those who see the sun.


For what will it profit them if they gain the whole world but forfeit their life? Or what will they give in return for their life?


Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will cross to the other side of the sea for us and get it for us so that we may hear it and observe it?’
