Deliver me from those who work evil; from the bloodthirsty, save me.


A desire realized is sweet to the soul, but to turn away from evil is an abomination to fools.


The unjust are an abomination to the righteous, but the upright are an abomination to the wicked.


If the wise go to law with fools, there is ranting and ridicule without relief.


Is evil a recompense for good? Yet they have dug a pit for my life. Remember how I stood before you to speak good for them, to turn away your wrath from them.


Then they drew Jeremiah up by the ropes and pulled him out of the cistern. And Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.

Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.
