So they made their father drink wine that night, and the firstborn went in and lay with her father; he did not know when she lay down or when she rose.


his eyes are darker than wine and his teeth whiter than milk.


David invited him to eat and drink in his presence and made him drunk, and in the evening he went out to lie on his couch with the servants of his lord, but he did not go down to his house.

Woe to those who are heroes in drinking wine and valiant at mixing drink,


Like thorns they are entangled; like drunkards they are drunk; they are consumed like dry straw.


Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,
