so that you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?


Do not fret because of the wicked; do not be envious of wrongdoers,


Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him; do not fret over those who prosper in their way, over those who carry out evil devices.


The integrity of the upright guides them, but the crookedness of the treacherous destroys them.


For fools speak folly, and their minds plot iniquity: to practice ungodliness, to utter error concerning the Lord, to leave the craving of the hungry unsatisfied, and to deprive the thirsty of drink.


Why should any who draw breath complain about the punishment of their sins?


Yet you say, “The way of the Lord is unfair.” Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way unfair? Is it not your ways that are unfair?


Samuel said to Saul, “You have done foolishly; you have not kept the commandment of the Lord your God, which he commanded you. The Lord would have established your kingdom over Israel forever,


For rebellion is no less a sin than divination, and stubbornness is like iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, he has also rejected you from being king.”
