And when you turn to the right or when you turn to the left, your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”


Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; the cautious will keep far from them.


The lazy person says, “There is a lion in the road! There is a lion in the streets!”


The lazy person says, “There is a lion outside! I shall be killed in the streets!”


They are all straight to one who understands and right to those who find knowledge.


Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me on a level path because of my enemies.


In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.


Who are they who fear the Lord? He will teach them the way that they should choose.


Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies; make your way straight before me.


It shall be said, “Build up, build up, prepare the way; remove every obstruction from my people’s way.”


Those who are hot-tempered stir up strife, but those who are slow to anger calm contention.


A wise child makes a glad father, but the foolish despise their mothers.


Go to the ant, you lazybones; consider its ways and be wise.


The righteousness of the blameless keeps their ways straight, but the wicked fall by their own wickedness.
