So even to old age and gray hairs, O God, do not forsake me, until I proclaim your might to all the generations to come. Your power


Do not cast me off in the time of old age; do not forsake me when my strength is spent.


Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.


even to your old age I am he; even when you turn gray I will carry you. I have made, and I will bear; I will carry and will save.


I appeal to you therefore, brothers and sisters, on the basis of God’s mercy, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your reasonable act of worship.


So we are ambassadors for Christ, since God is making his appeal through us; we entreat you on behalf of Christ: be reconciled to God.


As we work together with him, we entreat you also not to accept the grace of God in vain.


for in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.


This is the reason that I, Paul, am a prisoner for Christ Jesus for the sake of you gentiles,


I, therefore, the prisoner in the Lord, beg you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called,


for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it boldly, as I must speak.


I am grateful to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful and appointed me to his service,


Tell the older men to be temperate, serious, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love, and in endurance.


I urge you all the more to do this, so that I may be restored to you very soon.


Beloved, I urge you as aliens and exiles to abstain from the desires of the flesh that wage war against the soul.


Then if their fathers or their brothers come to complain to us, we will say to them, ‘Be generous and allow us to have them, because we did not capture in battle a wife for each man. But neither did you incur guilt by giving your daughters to them.’ ”
