Therefore, brothers and sisters, select from among yourselves seven men of good standing, full of the Spirit and of wisdom, whom we may appoint to this task,


Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found trustworthy.


I am grateful to Christ Jesus our Lord, who has strengthened me, because he considered me faithful and appointed me to his service,


And let them first be tested; then, if they prove themselves blameless, let them serve as deacons.
