But Jehu was not careful to follow the law of the Lord the God of Israel with all his heart; he did not turn from the sins of Jeroboam that he caused Israel to commit.


The king stood by the pillar and made a covenant before the Lord, to follow the Lord, keeping his commandments, his decrees, and his statutes, with all his heart and all his soul, to perform the words of this covenant that were written in this book. All the people joined in the covenant.


Now the first to live again in their possessions in their towns were Israelites, priests, Levites, and temple servants.

I have sworn an oath and confirmed it, to observe your righteous ordinances.

The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Moses charged us with the law as a possession for the assembly of Jacob.


Moses convened all Israel and said to them: “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and ordinances that I am addressing to you today; you shall learn them and observe them diligently.


You must therefore be careful to do as the Lord your God has commanded you; you shall not turn to the right or to the left.
