He said, “Go out and stand on the mountain before the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” Now there was a great wind, so strong that it was splitting mountains and breaking rocks in pieces before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind, and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake,


The pillars of heaven tremble and are astounded at his rebuke.


Pour out the overflowings of your anger, and look on all who are proud and humble them.


He removes mountains, and they do not know it when he overturns them in his anger;


If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, Lord, who could stand?


kiss his feet, or he will be angry, and you will perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Happy are all who take refuge in him.


But you indeed are awesome! Who can stand before you when your anger is roused?


From the heavens you uttered judgment; the earth feared and was still


Who considers the power of your anger? Your wrath is as great as the fear that is due you.


Therefore the Sovereign, the Lord of hosts, will send wasting sickness among his stout warriors, and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.


Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place at the wrath of the Lord of hosts in the day of his fierce anger.


I have no wrath. If it gives me thorns and briers, I will march to battle against it. I will burn it up.


The sinners in Zion are afraid; trembling has seized the godless: “Who among us can live with the devouring fire? Who among us can live with everlasting flames?”


For the Lord will come in fire and his chariots in a whirlwind, to vent his anger in fury and his rebuke in flames of fire.


But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.


O house of David! Thus says the Lord: Execute justice in the morning, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor anyone who has been robbed, or else my wrath will go forth like fire and burn, with no one to quench it, because of their evil doings.


He has cut down in fierce anger all the might of Israel; he has withdrawn his right hand from them in the face of the enemy; he has burned like a flaming fire in Jacob, consuming all around.


He has bent his bow like an enemy, with his right hand set like a foe; he has killed all those in whom we took pride in the tent of daughter Zion; he has poured out his fury like fire.


The Lord gave full vent to his wrath; he poured out his hot anger and kindled a fire in Zion that consumed its foundations.


I will pour out my indignation upon you; with the fire of my wrath I will blow upon you. I will deliver you into brutish hands, those skillful to destroy.


I will set fire to Egypt; Pelusium shall be in great agony; Thebes shall be breached and Memphis face adversaries by day.


I will send fire on Magog and on those who live securely in the coastlands, and they shall know that I am the Lord.


Soon now I will pour out my wrath upon you; I will spend my anger against you. I will judge you according to your ways and punish you for all your abominations.


A jealous and avenging God is the Lord; the Lord is avenging and wrathful; the Lord takes vengeance on his adversaries and prolongs it against his enemies.


before you are driven away like the drifting chaff, before there comes upon you the fierce anger of the Lord, before there comes upon you the day of the Lord’s wrath.


But who can endure the day of his coming, and who can stand when he appears? For he is like a refiner’s fire and like washers’ soap;


See, the day is coming, burning like an oven, when all the arrogant and all evildoers will be stubble; the day that comes shall burn them up, says the Lord of hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.


Then I heard a loud voice from the temple telling the seven angels, “Go and pour out on the earth the seven bowls of the wrath of God.”


The fourth angel poured his bowl on the sun, and it was allowed to scorch people with fire;


for the great day of their wrath has come, and who is able to stand?”
