as far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us.


It is he who will redeem Israel from all its iniquities.


You withdrew all your wrath; you turned from your hot anger.


And no inhabitant will say, “I am sick”; the people who live there will be forgiven their iniquity.


Surely it was for my welfare that I had great bitterness, but you have held back my life from the pit of destruction, for you have cast all my sins behind your back.

None of the transgressions that they have committed shall be remembered against them, for the righteousness that they have done they shall live.

Take words with you and return to the Lord; say to him, “Take away all guilt; accept that which is good, and we will offer the fruit of our lips.


I will heal their disloyalty; I will love them freely, for my anger has turned from them.


The angel said to those who were standing before him, “Take off his filthy clothes.” And to him he said, “See, I have taken your guilt away from you, and I will clothe you with festal apparel.”


For sin will have no dominion over you, since you are not under law but under grace.


for if you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.


then the Lord your God will return you from your captivity and have compassion on you, gathering you again from all the peoples among whom the Lord your God has scattered you.


“Moreover, the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, so that you will love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, in order that you may live.


Indeed, the Lord will vindicate his people, have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone, neither bond nor free remaining.


He it is who gave himself for us that he might redeem us from all iniquity and purify for himself a people of his own who are zealous for good deeds.


For I will be merciful toward their iniquities, and I will remember their sins no more.”


Everyone who commits sin is of the devil, for the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The Son of God was revealed for this purpose: to destroy the works of the devil.
