and we receive from him whatever we ask, because we obey his commandments and do what pleases him.


If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.


So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.


Call to me, and I will answer you and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.


But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.


For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.


You did not choose me, but I chose you. And I appointed you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask him in my name.


And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would approach God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.


I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently find me.


O Lord, you will hear the desire of the meek; you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear


Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink,’ you would have asked him, and he would have given you living water.”


Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.


For thus says the Lord to the house of Israel: Seek me and live,


The prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise them up, and anyone who has committed sins will be forgiven.


“Come,” my heart says, “seek his face!” Your face, Lord, do I seek.


Then Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray always and not to lose heart.


If you, then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!


Call on me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.”


“I will rise now and go about the city, in the streets and in the squares; I will seek him whom my soul loves.” I sought him but found him not.


to those who by patiently doing good seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life,


Blessed are you, O Lord; teach me your statutes.


For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call on you.


Let all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you. Let those who love your salvation say evermore, “God is great!”


Let the oppressed see it and be glad; you who seek God, let your hearts revive.
