There he made his home in a town called Nazareth, so that what had been spoken through the prophets might be fulfilled, “He will be called a Nazarene.”


Jesus went throughout all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing every disease and every sickness among the people.


Now when Jesus had finished saying these words, the crowds were astounded at his teaching,


And all who heard him were amazed at his understanding and his answers.


He came to what was his own, and his own people did not accept him.

When all who knew him before saw how he prophesied with the prophets, the people said to one another, “What has come over the son of Kish? Is Saul also among the prophets?”
