Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers and sisters who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”


“You search the scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life, and it is they that testify on my behalf.


Then he said to them, “These are my words that I spoke to you while I was still with you—that everything written about me in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms must be fulfilled.”


Then beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them the things about himself in all the scriptures.


They answered, “John the Baptist; but others, Elijah; and still others, that one of the ancient prophets has arisen.”


For all the Prophets and the Law prophesied until John came,


and his clothes became dazzling bright, such as no one on earth could brighten them.


Then Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here; let us set up three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
