I will surely gather them, says the Lord; there are no grapes on the vine nor figs on the fig tree; even the leaves are withered, and what I gave them has passed away from them.


On that day I will answer, says the Lord, I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth,


The vine withers; the fig tree droops. Pomegranate, palm, and apple— all the trees of the field are dried up; surely, joy withers away among the people.


What the cutting locust left, the swarming locust has eaten; what the swarming locust left, the hopping locust has eaten; and what the hopping locust left, the destroying locust has eaten.


It has laid waste my vines and splintered my fig trees; it has stripped off their bark and thrown it down; their branches have turned white.


I will remove the northern army far from you and drive it into a parched and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea and its rear into the western sea; its stench and foul smell will rise up.” Surely he has done great things!


Do not fear, you animals of the field, for the pastures of the wilderness are green; the tree bears its fruit; the fig tree and vine give their full yield.


I will repay you for the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the hopper, the destroyer, and the cutter, my great army that I sent against you.


I struck you with blight and mildew; I laid waste your gardens and your vineyards; the locust devoured your fig trees and your olive trees; yet you did not return to me, says the Lord.


Though the fig tree does not blossom and no fruit is on the vines; though the produce of the olive fails and the fields yield no food; though the flock is cut off from the fold and there is no herd in the stalls,


And I have called for a drought on the land and the hills, on the grain, the new wine, the oil, on what the soil produces, on humans and animals, and on all their labors.”


I struck you and every work of your hands with blight and mildew and hail, yet you did not return to me, says the Lord.


For there shall be a sowing of peace; the vine shall yield its fruit, the ground shall give its produce, and the skies shall give their dew, and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.


then he will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the later rain, and you will gather in your grain, your wine, and your oil,
