They were watching him to see whether he would cure him on the Sabbath, so that they might accuse him.


While he was speaking, a Pharisee invited him to dine with him, so he went in and took his place at the table.


Just then, in front of him, there was a man who had edema.


Once Jesus was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, and he answered, “The kingdom of God is not coming with things that can be observed,


So they watched him and sent spies who pretended to be honest, in order to trap him by what he said and then to hand him over to the jurisdiction and authority of the governor.


The scribes and the Pharisees were watching him to see whether he would cure on the Sabbath, so that they might find grounds to bring an accusation against him.


Now there was a Pharisee named Nicodemus, a leader of the Jews.


But a Pharisee in the council named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, respected by all the people, stood up and ordered the men to be put outside for a short time.
