the master of that slave will come on a day when he does not expect him and at an hour that he does not know and will cut him in pieces and put him with the unfaithful.


“Be on guard so that your hearts are not weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of this life and that day does not catch you unexpectedly,


and said to him, “Everyone serves the good wine first and then the inferior wine after the guests have become drunk. But you have kept the good wine until now.”


Even upon my slaves, both men and women, in those days I will pour out my Spirit, and they shall prophesy.


For such people do not serve our Lord Christ but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery they deceive the hearts of the simple-minded.


For you put up with it when someone makes slaves of you or preys upon you or takes advantage of you or puts on airs or gives you a slap in the face.


And you shall rejoice before the Lord your God, you together with your sons and your daughters, your male and female slaves, and the Levites who reside in your towns (since they have no allotment or inheritance with you).


for those who sleep sleep at night, and those who are drunk get drunk at night.


suffering the wages of doing wrong. They count it a pleasure to revel in the daytime. They are blots and blemishes, reveling in their pleasures while they feast with you.


They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption, for people are slaves to whatever masters them.


because they shed the blood of saints and prophets, you have given them blood to drink. It is what they deserve!”


And in you was found the blood of prophets and of saints and of all who have been slaughtered on earth.”
