The Pharisee was amazed to see that he did not first wash before dinner.

On one occasion when Jesus was going to the house of a leader of the Pharisees to eat a meal on the Sabbath, they were watching him closely.

One of the Pharisees asked Jesus to eat with him, and when he went into the Pharisee’s house he reclined to dine.
