The silver from the guilt offerings and the silver from the sin offerings was not brought into the house of the Lord; it belonged to the priests.


At that time King Hazael of Aram went up, fought against Gath, and took it. But when Hazael set his face to go up against Jerusalem,


He shall slaughter the lamb in the place where the purification offering and the burnt offering are slaughtered in the holy place, for the guilt offering, like the purification offering, belongs to the priest; it is most holy.


And what is left of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons; it is a most holy part of the offerings by fire to the Lord.

If the injured party has no next of kin to whom restitution may be made for the wrong, the restitution for wrong shall go to the Lord for the priest, in addition to the ram of atonement with which atonement is made for the guilty party.


Consider the people of Israel: Are not those who eat the sacrifices partners in the altar?


Do you not know that those who work in the temple service get their food from the temple and those who serve at the altar share in what is sacrificed on the altar?
