Seven days you shall make atonement for the altar and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy; whatever touches the altar shall become holy.


You shall also anoint the altar of burnt offering and all its utensils and consecrate the altar, so that the altar shall be most holy.


Then Moses made inquiry about the goat of the purification offering, and it had already been burned! He was angry with Eleazar and Ithamar, Aaron’s remaining sons, and said,


“No grain offering that you bring to the Lord shall be made with leaven, for you must not turn any leaven or honey into smoke as an offering by fire to the Lord.


And what is left of the grain offering shall be for Aaron and his sons, a most holy part of the offerings by fire to the Lord.


“Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying: This is the rule of the purification offering. The purification offering shall be slaughtered before the Lord at the spot where the burnt offering is slaughtered; it is most holy.


The priest who offers it as a purification offering shall eat of it; it shall be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the tent of meeting.


Every male among the priests shall eat of it; it is most holy.


“This is the rule of the guilt offering; it is most holy.


Every male among the priests shall eat of it; it shall be eaten in a holy place; it is most holy.


“The guilt offering is like the purification offering; the same rule applies to them: the priest who makes atonement with it shall have it.


“He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in his mouth.”
