They also brought to the required place barley and straw for the horses and swift steeds, each according to his charge.


But Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord: Thus says the Lord: Tomorrow about this time a measure of choice meal shall be sold for a shekel and two measures of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.”


He grants peace within your borders; he fills you with the finest of wheat.

And he said to them, “How many loaves have you? Go and see.” When they had found out, they said, “Five, and two fish.”


When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you collect?” They said to him, “Twelve.”


But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we are to go and buy food for all these people.”


Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.
