I will tell of the decree of the Lord: He said to me, “You are my son; today I have begotten you.


Then I said, “Here I am; in the scroll of the book it is written of me.


“Come, eat of my bread and drink of the wine I have mixed.


All human toil is for the mouth, yet the appetite is not satisfied.


Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations.


Why do you spend your money for that which is not bread and your earnings for that which does not satisfy? Listen carefully to me, and eat what is good, and delight yourselves in rich food.


Your words were found, and I ate them, and your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by your name, O Lord, God of hosts.


Is it not from the Lord of hosts that peoples labor only to feed the flames and nations weary themselves for nothing?


While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”


And these will go away into eternal punishment but the righteous into eternal life.”


And a voice from the heavens said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”


“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust consume and where thieves break in and steal,


And Jesus said to him, “Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay his head.”


And a voice came from the heavens, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”


Then a cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud there came a voice, “This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to him!”


and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven, “You are my Son, the Beloved; with you I am well pleased.”


Then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!”


I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will snatch them out of my hand.


I knew that you always hear me, but I have said this for the sake of the crowd standing here, so that they may believe that you sent me.”


Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.


If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not have sin. But now they have seen and hated both me and my Father.


since you have given him authority over all people, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him.


that whoever believes in him may have eternal life.


Whoever has accepted his testimony has certified this, that God is true.


This is indeed the will of my Father, that all who see the Son and believe in him may have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day.”


Very truly, I tell you, whoever believes has eternal life.


I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats of this bread will live forever, and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”


So Jesus said to them, “Very truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.


Those who eat my flesh and drink my blood have eternal life, and I will raise them up on the last day,


This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like that which the ancestors ate, and they died. But the one who eats this bread will live forever.”


Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?


Simon Peter answered him, “Lord, to whom can we go? You have the words of eternal life.


I testify on my own behalf, and the Father who sent me testifies on my behalf.”


how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power; how he went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.


“Fellow Israelites, listen to what I have to say: Jesus of Nazareth, a man attested to you by God with deeds of power, wonders, and signs that God did through him among you, as you yourselves know—


He received the sign of circumcision as a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was to make him the ancestor of all who believe without being circumcised and who thus have righteousness reckoned to them,


For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.


“Food is meant for the stomach and the stomach for food,” and God will destroy both one and the other. The body is meant not for sexual immorality but for the Lord and the Lord for the body.


If I am not an apostle to others, at least I am to you, for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.


because we look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen, for what can be seen is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.


Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will cross to the other side of the sea for us and get it for us so that we may hear it and observe it?’


for it is God who is at work in you, enabling you both to will and to work for his good pleasure.


For this I toil and strive with all the energy that he powerfully inspires within me.


All these regulations refer to things that perish with use; they are simply human commands and teachings.


Set your minds on the things that are above, not on the things that are on earth,


remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.


But God’s firm foundation stands, bearing this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,” and, “Let everyone who calls on the name of the Lord turn away from wickedness.”


See to it that no one becomes an immoral and godless person, as Esau was, who sold his birthright for a single meal.


Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.


For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the field; its flower falls, and its beauty perishes. It is the same way with the rich; in the midst of a busy life, they will wither away.


For “All flesh is like grass and all its glory like the flower of grass. The grass withers, and the flower falls,


For he received honor and glory from God the Father when that voice was conveyed to him by the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, my Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
