He said to them, “Doubtless you will quote to me this proverb, ‘Doctor, cure yourself!’ And you will say, ‘Do here also in your hometown the things that we have heard you did at Capernaum.’ ”


A centurion there had a slave whom he valued highly and who was ill and close to death.


for he had an only daughter, about twelve years old, and she was dying. As he went, the crowds pressed in on him.


After this he went down to Capernaum with his mother, his brothers, and his disciples, and they remained there a few days.


Gathered there together were Simon Peter, Thomas called the Twin, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples.


Ebron, Rehob, Hammon, Kanah, as far as Great Sidon;
