Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them; he was the one who had reclined next to Jesus at the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?”


This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them, and we know that his testimony is true.


But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, only about a hundred yards off.


You know the message he sent to the people of Israel, preaching peace by Jesus Christ—he is Lord of all.


“Therefore let the entire house of Israel know with certainty that God has made him both Lord and Messiah, this Jesus whom you crucified.”


The first man was from the earth, made of dust; the second man is from heaven.


For the love of Christ urges us on, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died.


My brothers and sisters, do not claim the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ of glory while showing partiality.
