For I have kept the ways of the Lord and have not wickedly departed from my God.


For he held fast to the Lord; he did not depart from following him but kept the commandments that the Lord had commanded Moses.


Moses and Aaron did so; they did just as the Lord commanded them.


The Lord God has opened my ear, and I was not rebellious; I did not turn backward.


No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it up again. I have received this command from my Father.”


for I have not spoken on my own, but the Father who sent me has himself given me a commandment about what to say and what to speak.


“If you love me, you will keep my commandments.


They who have my commandments and keep them are those who love me, and those who love me will be loved by my Father, and I will love them and reveal myself to them.”


Jesus answered him, “Those who love me will keep my word, and my Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.


but I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father. Rise, let us be on our way.

And the one who sent me is with me; he has not left me alone, for I always do what is pleasing to him.”


though you do not know him. But I know him; if I would say that I do not know him, I would be a liar like you. But I do know him, and I keep his word.


Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but obeying the commandments of God is everything.


Finally, brothers and sisters, we ask and urge you in the Lord Jesus that, as you learned from us how you ought to live and to please God (as, in fact, you are doing), you should do so more and more.


For it was fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, blameless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens.


For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy commandment that was handed on to them.


Now by this we know that we have come to know him, if we obey his commandments.


but whoever obeys his word, truly in this person the love of God has reached perfection. By this we know that we are in him:


whoever says, “I abide in him,” ought to walk in the same way as he walked.


For the love of God is this, that we obey his commandments. And his commandments are not burdensome,


Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they will have the right to the tree of life and may enter the city by the gates.
