I am giving you these commands so that you may love one another.


Now that you have purified your souls by your obedience to the truth so that you have genuine mutual affection, love one another deeply from the heart.

So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all and especially for those of the family of faith.


For this is the message you have heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.


The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the native-born among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.


Let mutual affection continue.


We must always give thanks to God for you, brothers and sisters, as is right, because your faith is growing abundantly and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.


By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness,


and godliness with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.


for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love that you have for all the saints,


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.


that they may all be one. As you, Father, are in me and I am in you, may they also be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me.


I am a companion of all who fear you, of those who keep your precepts.


As for the holy ones in the land, they are the noble ones in whom is all my delight.


But I say to you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,


Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.


Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
