Then God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.


for he spoke, and it came to be; he commanded, and it stood firm.


Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol? Shall I redeem them from Death? O Death, where are your plagues? O Sheol, where is your destruction? Compassion is hidden from my eyes.


He strictly ordered them that no one should know this and told them to give her something to eat.


Then the other came, saying, ‘Lord, here is your pound. I wrapped it up in a piece of cloth,


The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother.


The Father and I are one.”


Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of the dead man, said to him, “Lord, already there is a stench because he has been dead four days.”


When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”


They took the body of Jesus and wrapped it with the spices in linen cloths, according to the burial custom of the Jews.


He bent down to look in and saw the linen wrappings lying there, but he did not go in.


and the cloth that had been on Jesus’s head, not lying with the linen wrappings but rolled up in a place by itself.


Indeed, just as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, so also the Son gives life to whomever he wishes.


“Very truly, I tell you, the hour is coming and is now here when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.


He will transform the body of our humiliation that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself.


and the Living One. I was dead, and see, I am alive forever and ever, and I have the keys of Death and of Hades.


The Lord kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up.
