With that, Joseph hurried out, because he was overcome with affection for his brother, and he was about to weep. So he went into a private room and wept there.


Did I not weep for those whose day was hard? Was not my soul grieved for the poor?


My eyes shed streams of tears because your law is not kept.


He was despised and rejected by others; a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity, and as one from whom others hide their faces he was despised, and we held him of no account.

As he came near and saw the city, he wept over it,


When Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews who came with her also weeping, he was greatly disturbed in spirit and deeply moved.


He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to him, “Lord, come and see.”


For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who in every respect has been tested as we are, yet without sin.
