Philip said to him, “Lord, show us the Father, and we will be satisfied.”


As Jesus was walking along, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax-collection station, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him.


I was ready to be sought out by those who did not ask, to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, “Here I am, here I am,” to a nation that did not call on my name.


They came to Philip, who was from Bethsaida in Galilee, and said to him, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.”


We love because he first loved us.


When he looked up and saw a large crowd coming toward him, Jesus said to Philip, “Where are we to buy bread for these people to eat?”

Now when Jesus heard that John had been arrested, he withdrew to Galilee.


But Jesus said to him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”


The next day he saw Jesus coming toward him and declared, “Here is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!


Now Philip was from Bethsaida, the city of Andrew and Peter.


Jesus did this, the first of his signs, in Cana of Galilee and revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.


The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus.
