When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and rescues them from all their troubles.


though we stumble, we shall not fall headlong, for the Lord holds us by the hand.


Mark the blameless and behold the upright, for there is posterity for the peaceable.


For the Lord will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage;


Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever follows perverse ways will be found out.


Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their robes, to open doors before him— and the gates shall not be closed:
