I chose what they should do and sat as chief, and I lived like a king among his troops, like one who comforts mourners.


See, you have instructed many; you have strengthened the weak hands.


But now it has come to you, and you are impatient; it touches you, and you are dismayed.


The Lord upholds all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down.


Rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

so now instead you should forgive and console him, so that he may not be overwhelmed by even worse grief.


But God, who consoles the downcast, consoled us by the arrival of Titus,


And we urge you, brothers and sisters, to admonish the idlers, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with all of them.


Therefore lift your drooping hands and strengthen your weak knees
