Job 31:8

they will not escape from darkness; the flame will dry up their shoots, and their blossom will be swept away by the wind.


They have no offspring or descendant among their people and no survivor where they used to live.


They will give back the fruit of their toil and will not swallow it down; from the profit of their trading they will get no enjoyment.


They reap in a field not their own, and they glean in the vineyard of the wicked.


for that would be a fire consuming down to Abaddon, and it would burn to the root all my harvest.


May his posterity be cut off; may his name be blotted out in the second generation.


I in turn will do this to you: I will bring terror on you, consumption and fever that waste the eyes and cause life to pine away. You shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.


You shall sow but not reap; you shall tread olives but not anoint yourselves with oil; you shall tread grapes but not drink wine.


For here the saying holds true, ‘One sows and another reaps.’


“You shall carry much seed into the field but shall gather little in, for the locust shall consume it.


It shall consume the fruit of your livestock and the fruit of your ground until you are destroyed, leaving you neither grain, wine, and oil nor the increase of your cattle and the issue of your flock, until it has made you perish.
