therefore I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam. I will cut off from Jeroboam every male, both bond and free in Israel, and will consume the house of Jeroboam, just as one burns up dung until it is all gone.

The wicked see it and are angry; they gnash their teeth and melt away; the desire of the wicked comes to nothing.


My enemies wonder in malice when I will die and my name perish.

You shall seek those who contend with you, but you shall not find them; those who war against you shall be as nothing at all.


and they shall be spread before the sun and the moon and all the host of heaven, which they have loved and served, which they have followed, and which they have inquired of and worshiped, and they shall not be gathered or buried; they shall be like dung on the surface of the ground.


Though you soar aloft like the eagle, though your nest is set among the stars, from there I will bring you down, says the Lord.
