with you I smash the horse and its rider; with you I smash the chariot and the charioteer;


with you I smash man and woman; with you I smash the old man and the boy; with you I smash the young man and the girl;


The warriors of Babylon have given up fighting; they remain in their strongholds; their strength has failed; they have become women; her buildings are set on fire; her bars are broken.


They shall fall down slain in the land of the Chaldeans and wounded in her streets.


Cush and Put and Lud and all the mixed populations and Libya and the people of the allied land shall fall with them by the sword.


And you shall be filled at my table with horses and chariots, with warriors and all kinds of soldiers, says the Lord God.


See, I am against you, says the Lord of hosts, and I will burn your chariots in smoke, and the sword shall devour your young lions; I will cut off your prey from the earth, and the voice of your messengers shall be heard no more.


Look at your troops: they are women in your midst. The gates of your land are wide open to your foes; fire has devoured the bars of your gates.


and to overthrow the throne of kingdoms; I am about to destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the nations and overthrow the chariots and their riders, and the horses and their riders shall fall, every one by the sword of a comrade.
