Jeremiah 46:10 - New Revised Standard Version Updated Edition 2021

10 That day is the day of the Lord God of hosts, a day of retribution, to gain vindication from his foes. The sword shall devour and be sated and drink its fill of their blood. For the Lord God of hosts holds a sacrifice in the land of the north by the River Euphrates.

Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming, it is near—


The chariot with the black horses goes toward the north country, the white ones go toward the west country, and the dappled ones go toward the south country.”


for these are days of vengeance, as a fulfillment of all that is written.


I will make my arrows drunk with blood, and my sword shall devour flesh— with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the long-haired enemy.’
