May his name endure forever, his fame continue as long as the sun. May all nations be blessed in him; may they pronounce him happy.


Mighty King, lover of justice, you have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob.


By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that shall not return: “To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”


In the Lord all the offspring of Israel shall triumph and glory.


Then whoever invokes a blessing in the land shall bless by the God of faithfulness, and whoever takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of faithfulness, because the former troubles are forgotten and are hidden from my sight.


But the Lord is the true God; he is the living God and the everlasting King. At his wrath the earth quakes, and the nations cannot endure his indignation.


And after I have plucked them up, I will again have compassion on them, and I will bring them again to their heritage and to their land, every one of them.


And then, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, “As the Lord lives,” as they taught my people to swear by Baal, then they shall be built up in the midst of my people.


O Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in the day of trouble, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth and say: “Our ancestors have inherited nothing but lies, worthless things in which there is no profit.


At that time Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the Lord, and all nations shall gather to it, to the presence of the Lord in Jerusalem, and they shall no longer stubbornly follow their own evil will.


And this city shall be to me a name of joy, a praise, and a glory before all the nations of the earth who shall hear of all the good that I do for them; they shall fear and tremble because of all the good and all the prosperity I provide for it.


Although they say, “As the Lord lives,” yet they swear falsely.


For if you truly amend your ways and your doings, if you truly act justly one with another,


but let those who boast boast in this, that they understand and know me, that I am the Lord; I act with steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth, for in these things I delight, says the Lord.


And I will take you for my wife forever; I will take you for my wife in righteousness and in justice, in steadfast love and in mercy.


Yet even now, says the Lord, return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning;


and I will bring them to live in Jerusalem. They shall be my people and I will be their God, in faithfulness and in righteousness.”


For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name is great among the nations, and in every place incense is offered to my name and a pure offering, for my name is great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts.


in order that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”


“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”


And the scripture, foreseeing that God would reckon as righteous the gentiles by faith, declared the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, “All the gentiles shall be blessed in you.”


You shall fear the Lord your God; him you shall serve; to him you shall hold fast; and by his name you shall swear.


In your distress, when all these things have happened to you in time to come, you will return to the Lord your God and heed him.


The Lord your God you shall fear, him you shall serve, and by his name alone you shall swear.


For it is we who are the circumcision, who worship in the Spirit of God and boast in Christ Jesus and have no confidence in the flesh—


Remain this night, and in the morning, if he will act as next-of-kin for you, good; let him do it. But if he is not willing to act as next-of-kin for you, then, as the Lord lives, I will act as next-of-kin for you. Lie down until the morning.”


But David also swore, “Your father knows well that you like me, and he thinks, ‘Do not let Jonathan know this, or he will be grieved.’ But truly, as the Lord lives and as you yourself live, there is but a step between me and death.”
