When he is quiet, who can condemn? When he hides his face, who can behold him? Whether nation or person, it is the same—


For he wounds, but he binds up; he strikes, but his hands heal.


Therefore he said he would destroy them— had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach before him, to turn away his wrath from destroying them.


Look on my right hand and see: there is no one who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for me.


He said, “If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his sight, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I am the Lord who heals you.”


From the sole of the foot to the head, there is no soundness in it, only bruises and sores and bleeding wounds; they have not been drained or bound up or softened with oil.


He saw that there was no one and was appalled that there was no one to intervene, so his own arm brought him victory, and his righteousness upheld him.


Have you completely rejected Judah? Does your heart loathe Zion? Why have you struck us down so that there is no healing for us? We look for peace but find no good, for a time of healing, but there is terror instead.


Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.


For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, says the Lord, because they have called you an outcast: “It is Zion; no one cares for her!”


I am going to bring it recovery and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them abundance of prosperity and security.


Go up to Gilead, and take balm, O virgin daughter Egypt! In vain you have used many medicines; there is no healing for you.


As a well keeps its water fresh, so she keeps fresh her wickedness; violence and destruction are heard within her; sickness and wounds are ever before me.


Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no physician there? Why then has the health of the daughter of my people not been restored?


What can I say for you, to what compare you, O daughter Jerusalem? To what can I liken you, that I may comfort you, O virgin daughter Zion? For vast as the sea is your ruin; who can heal you?


And I sought for anyone among them who would repair the wall and stand in the breach before me on behalf of the land, so that I would not destroy it, but I found no one.


Mortal, I have broken the arm of Pharaoh king of Egypt; it has not been bound up for healing or wrapped with a bandage, so that it may become strong to wield the sword.


I will heal their disloyalty; I will love them freely, for my anger has turned from them.


“Come, let us return to the Lord, for it is he who has torn, and he will heal us; he has struck down, and he will bind us up.


There is no assuaging your hurt; your wound is mortal. All who hear the news about you clap their hands over you. For who has ever escaped your endless cruelty?


See now that I, even I, am he; there is no god besides me. I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; and no one can deliver from my hand.


He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that, having died to sins, we might live for righteousness; by his wounds you have been healed.


My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous,
