“Thus says King Cyrus of Persia: The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and he has charged me to build him a house at Jerusalem, which is in Judah.


He looses the sash of kings and binds a waistcloth on their loins.


He pours contempt on princes and looses the belt of the strong.


For who is God except the Lord? And who is a rock besides our God?


The God who has girded me with strength and made my way safe.


He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights.


For you girded me with strength for the battle; you made my assailants sink under me.


For you are great and do wondrous things; you alone are God.


For this time I will send all my plagues upon you yourself, your officials, and your people, so that you may know that there is no one like me in all the earth.


and will clothe him with your robe and bind your sash on him. I will commit your authority to his hand, and he shall be a father to the inhabitants of Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.


So now, O Lord our God, save us from his hand, so that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the Lord.”


You are my witnesses, says the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen, so that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me.


Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: I am the first, and I am the last; besides me there is no god.


Do not fear or be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? You are my witnesses! Is there any god besides me? There is no other rock; I know not one.


Thus says the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have grasped to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their robes, to open doors before him— and the gates shall not be closed:


so that they may know, from the rising of the sun and from the west, that there is no one besides me; I am the Lord, and there is no other.


remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is no one like me,


Now therefore hear this, you lover of pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me; I shall not sit as a widow or know the loss of children”—


I will strengthen the arms of the king of Babylon and put my sword in his hand, but I will break the arms of Pharaoh, and he will groan before him with the groans of one mortally wounded.


You shall know that I am in the midst of Israel and that I, the Lord, am your God and there is no other. And my people shall never again be put to shame.


In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.


See now that I, even I, am he; there is no god besides me. I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal; and no one can deliver from my hand.


To you it was shown so that you would acknowledge that the Lord is God; there is no other besides him.


So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other.
