He turns a desert into pools of water, a parched land into springs of water.


Give heed to my reproof; I will pour out my thoughts to you; I will make my words known to you.


and a spirit of justice to the one who sits in judgment and strength to those who turn back the battle at the gate.


Shall not Lebanon in a very little while become a fruitful field and the fruitful field be regarded as a forest?


the burning sand shall become a pool and the thirsty ground springs of water; the haunt of jackals shall become a swamp; the grass shall become reeds and rushes.


For I will pour water on the thirsty land and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my spirit upon your descendants and my blessing on your offspring.

And I will pour out a spirit of compassion and supplication on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem so that, when they look on the one whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly over him as one weeps over a firstborn.


And see, I am sending upon you what my Father promised, so stay here in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”


Now he said this about the Spirit, which believers in him were to receive, for as yet there was no Spirit because Jesus was not yet glorified.


Being therefore exalted at the right hand of God and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, he has poured out this that you see and hear.


how much more will the ministry of the Spirit come in glory?
