The Israelites went into the sea on dry ground, the waters forming a wall for them on their right and on their left.


If the Lord of hosts had not left us a few survivors, we would have been like Sodom and become like Gomorrah.


On that day the remnant of Israel and the survivors of the house of Jacob will no longer lean on the one who struck them but will lean on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.


On that day the Lord will again raise his hand to recover the remnant that is left of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush, from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.


On that day there will be a highway from Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian will come into Egypt and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians will serve with the Assyrians.


And on that day a great trumpet will be blown, and those who were lost in the land of Assyria and those who were driven out to the land of Egypt will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain at Jerusalem.


And I will turn all my mountains into a road, and my highways shall be raised up.


Look, some shall come from far away, some from the north and from the west, and some from the land of Syene.


Was it not you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to cross over?


It shall be said, “Build up, build up, prepare the way; remove every obstruction from my people’s way.”


Go through, go through the gates; prepare the way for the people; build up, build up the highway; clear it of stones; lift up an ensign over the peoples.


The seacoast shall become the possession of the remnant of the house of Judah, on which they shall pasture, and in the houses of Ashkelon they shall lie down at evening. For the Lord their God will be mindful of them and restore their fortunes.
