As I have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same.


A king is not saved by his great army; a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.


“See the one who would not take refuge in God but trusted in abundant riches and sought refuge in wealth!”


Put no confidence in extortion, and set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, do not set your heart on them.


therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way and be sated with their own devices.

Swearing, lying, and murder, and stealing and adultery break out; bloodshed follows bloodshed.


They feed on the sin of my people; they are greedy for their iniquity.


By their wickedness they make the king glad, and the officials by their treachery.


For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads; it shall yield no meal; if it were to yield, foreigners would devour it.


Against whom has the king of Israel come out? Whom do you pursue? A dead dog? A single flea?
