And now, your relative Elizabeth in her old age has also conceived a son, and this is the sixth month for her who was said to be barren.


This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the children of the promise are counted as descendants.


One, the child of the enslaved woman, was born according to the flesh; the other, the child of the free woman, was born through the promise.


Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
