Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed you are doing.

The saying is sure. I desire that you insist on these things, so that those who have come to believe in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works; these things are excellent and profitable to everyone.


They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous, and ready to share,


Remember those who are in prison, as though you were in prison with them, those who are being tortured, as though you yourselves were being tortured.


My brothers and sisters, if anyone is detected in a transgression, you who have received the Spirit should restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness. Take care that you yourselves are not tempted.


just as I try to please everyone in everything I do, not seeking my own advantage but that of many, so that they may be saved.


For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything; the only thing that counts is faith working through love.


I do not say this as a command, but I am, by mentioning the eagerness of others, testing the genuineness of your love.


The disciples determined that, according to their ability, each would send relief to the brothers and sisters living in Judea;


This was not because we do not have that right but in order to give you an example to imitate.


By contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness,


for I know your eagerness, which is the subject of my boasting about you to the people of Macedonia, saying that Achaia has been ready since last year, and your zeal has stirred up most of them.


Rejoice with those who rejoice; weep with those who weep.


so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,


To the weak I became weak, so that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all people, that I might by all means save some.


remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.


But what is the divine reply to him? “I have kept for myself seven thousand who have not bowed the knee to Baal.”


Happy are those who consider the poor; the Lord delivers them in the day of trouble.


The righteous know the rights of the poor; the wicked have no such understanding.


But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” so that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.
