So Joseph remained in Egypt, he and his father’s household, and Joseph lived one hundred ten years.


The sons of Manasseh: Asriel, whom his Aramean concubine bore; she bore Machir the father of Gilead.


After this Job lived one hundred and forty years and saw his children and his children’s children, four generations.

Grandchildren are the crown of the aged, and the glory of children is their parents.


Moses gave to them—to the Gadites and to the Reubenites and to the half-tribe of Manasseh son of Joseph—the kingdom of King Sihon of the Amorites and the kingdom of King Og of Bashan, the land and its towns, with the territories of the surrounding towns.


The descendants of Machir son of Manasseh went to Gilead, captured it, and dispossessed the Amorites who were there,


Then allotment was made to the tribe of Manasseh, for he was the firstborn of Joseph. To Machir the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, were allotted Gilead and Bashan, because he was a warrior.
