He looked up and saw three men standing near him. When he saw them, he ran from the tent entrance to meet them and bowed down to the ground.


Then Rachel said, “With mighty wrestlings I have wrestled with my sister and have prevailed,” so she named him Naphtali.


He took them and sent them across the stream, and likewise everything that he had.


When the man saw that he did not prevail against Jacob, he struck him on the hip socket, and Jacob’s hip was put out of joint as he wrestled with him.

Each will be like a hiding place from the wind, a covert from the tempest, like streams of water in a dry place, like the shade of a great rock in a weary land.


So I was left alone to see this great vision. My strength left me, and my complexion grew deathly pale, and I retained no strength.


“Strive to enter through the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will try to enter and will not be able.

I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to join me in earnest prayer to God on my behalf,


The first man was from the earth, made of dust; the second man is from heaven.


for our struggle is not against blood and flesh but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.


Pray in the Spirit at all times in every prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert and always persevere in supplication for all the saints.
