The angel of the Lord also said to her, “I will so greatly multiply your offspring that they cannot be counted for multitude.”


The angel of the Lord found her by a spring of water in the wilderness, the spring on the way to Shur.


Then one said, “I will surely return to you in due season, and your wife Sarah shall have a son.” And Sarah was listening at the tent entrance behind him.


So Abraham called that place “The Lord will provide,” as it is said to this day, “On the mount of the Lord it shall be provided.”


and said, “By myself I have sworn, says the Lord: Because you have done this, and have not withheld your son, your only son,


Then the angel of God said to me in the dream, ‘Jacob,’ and I said, ‘Here I am!’


the angel who has redeemed me from all harm, bless the boys, and in them let my name be perpetuated and the name of my ancestors Abraham and Isaac, and let them grow into a multitude on the earth.”


There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in a flame of fire out of a bush; he looked, and the bush was blazing, yet it was not consumed.


By myself I have sworn; from my mouth has gone forth in righteousness a word that shall not return: “To me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.”


then will I remember my covenant with Jacob; I will remember also my covenant with Isaac and also my covenant with Abraham, and I will remember the land.


On that day the Lord will shield the inhabitants of Jerusalem so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the Lord, at their head.


Then the angel of the Lord warned Joshua, saying


“Now when forty years had passed, an angel appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in the flame of a burning bush.


When God made a promise to Abraham, because he had no one greater by whom to swear, he swore by himself,


Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and the land raised his right hand to heaven
