I am going to watch over them for harm and not for good; all the people of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall perish by the sword and by famine until not one is left.


They dogged our steps so that we could not walk in our streets; our end drew near; our days were numbered, for our end had come.


Tell them therefore, “Thus says the Lord God: I will put an end to this proverb, and they shall use it no more as a proverb in Israel.” But say to them: “The days are near, and the fulfillment of every vision.


As for you, vile, wicked prince of Israel, you whose day has come, the time of final punishment,


It has come! It has happened, says the Lord God. This is the day of which I have spoken.


See, the day! See, it comes! Your doom has gone out. The rod has blossomed; pride has budded.


Now the end is upon you; I will let loose my anger upon you; I will judge you according to your ways; I will punish you for all your abominations.


Your doom has come to you, O inhabitant of the land. The time has come; the day is near— of tumult, not of reveling on the mountains.


He said, “Amos, what do you see?” And I said, “A basket of summer fruit.” Then the Lord said to me, “The end has come upon my people Israel; I will spare them no longer.
